in various institutions and countries in the world where English is practiced.

IELTS is established in 1989 and has become the most popular high-stakes English-language certificate in the world. There are approximately 1,000 test locations in more than 140 countries currently, carrying out over 2 million tests each year. Over 9,000 organizations globally accept the certificate as proof of proficiency in the English language.

IELTS is mutually owned and operated by the British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment and IDP Education Australia. IELTS testing materials are formed by international organizations of writers from several English-speaking countries, so the content explains real-life situations. The Speaking part of the IELTS test is a one-to-one evaluation with a physical person, not with a machine or computer. You will thus have discussions with an examiner who can efficiently evaluate your language skills, without being diverted by other applicants or technical barriers.
